The latest product from the Portal Feeder geniuses is Web2Mayhem. What is that, you ask?
Mayhem: “Random or deliberate damage; state of rowdy disorder”
“Web 2″ refers to “web 2.0″ properties, or the ubiquitous social networking sites that are now dominating the internet.
For internet marketers, Web2Mayhem is the easiest way to take advantage of the social aspects of the internet and put them into a state of rowdy disorder by all the link love you will be forcing them to send to your site.
Web2Mayhem is a collection of tools and training that will launch your website, or websites, into orbit, figuratively speaking. They will get indexed quickly and get established quickly as authority sites through all the incoming links from hundreds of different sources. The inbound links will be mostly from sites already recognized by Google as authorities.
Unlike other tools that randomly blast your links every which way but Sunday, Web2Mayhem does it all in a careful and considerate way so as to not arouse suspicions on the part of the Web2 site owners, Google, or anyone else.
Here’s how it works. Web2Mayhem is made up of the following modules:
- Article Article Distributor – lets you post articles on article directories
- RSS Announcer – distribute RSS feeds from your sites to the RSS directories quickly and easily
- Blog Poster – skyrocket the distribution of your articles by posting them on hundreds of relevant blogs and letting them drip over time. This is one of my favorites.
- Social Bookmarker – generate quick links back to your site via all the top social bookmark sites like Digg, Twitter, etc.
- Video Sharer – post to YouTube and other video sites quickly and easily
- Article Syndication – this is the other side of the blog poster; you can have relevant high-quality content posted to your own blogs automatically
- Pad Submitter – submit new Google “pads” to broaden the reach of your site
- Web 2.0 Coop – join a network of other users who help increase visibility by doing web 2.0 jobs like bookmarking your links, posting blurbs on their own blogs, etc.
- 3-Way Website Linking – we all know the power of inbound links, but reciprocal links have gone the way of the pterodactyl, this tool solves that problem
Not only do you get these fantastic tools, but you will get step-by-step action plans to help you put it all into action. That’s the most important part. I’ve bought tools before, but without some good solid direction on what to do with them, you may as well not even have them.
I have been a Portalfeeder member for four years and have used the beta versions of this software. I have found it easy to use and incredibly helpful in getting results quickly.
I strongly encourage you to check out Web2Mayhem.
It goes live at 1pm EST on December 15, 2009.
Any affiliate marketer knows that identifying the right keywords is the secret to success in selling online. Target the wrong keywords and you may as well take your money and flush it down the toilet. Seriously, right?
There are tons of software tools that will help you generate massive keyword lists all day long. However, if you’ve been keeping up with the industry you know that for the past few years, huge keyword lists have gone the way of the bell-bottom trouser (in style, then out, then in again, then out for good). The idea back then was that if you throw enough crap on the wall, some of it will stick.
Today’s smart marketers do two things in their keyword research:
- They use smaller, laser-focused lists. These lists are very narrow theme-based lists that may contain only 5-25 words.
- They use the right keywords. Yeah, that’s what was supposed to happen with the big lists, too. You would identify which words were converting and just keep those. However, by the time you got to that point, your budget was shot.
When I say “right” keywords, you want your list of words to a) have high search volume and b) have low competition.
I want to introduce you to a new keyword tool that will give you that. It’s called Keyword Corral and it just so happens to be FREE.
Don’t let the price fool you. This is not one of those “you get what you pay for” deals, trust me. I have been fortunate enough to be able to use early versions of Keyword Corral to do my own keyword research, and I promise you the time it saves is unbelievable.
Keyword Corral really will deliver on its promise to help you find the “money keywords” no matter what you are promoting.
Now, in all fairness, I will tell you that this software is free because it is leading up to the launch of another fantastic work of genius from the Portal Feeder team. It’s called Web2Mayhem and it is a way of automating the acquisition of links to your site from social bookmarking sites, video sites, and much more.
However, don’t be afraid of that. No one will force you to purchase something you don’t believe will help you grow your business, ok? Go ahead and get Keyword Corral. You will always have that and be able to use it whether you sign up for Web2Mayhem or not.
I almost forgot! When you sign up to get the free software, you also get a quick-start blueprint and video showing you how to put the software to work. You could get started right now!
I strongly recommend you get this software. It will make all the difference in your keyword research.

If you are like me, the best advice you have been given on PPC is to stay away from the Content network; focus only on Search Did you know that by following that advice, we are missing out on the larger portion of Google traffic?
Yeah, I didn’t either. Curse those gurus!
It turns out there are ways to make the Content network actually work for you. Using Google Analytics is one way I will discuss in this article I will also give you another tip at the end of this piece. google
When posting ads on the Content network, which consists of probably millions of sites, you need to select the specific sites where your ad will be relevant Otherwise, any traffic you get will have a lower chance of converting into a sale.
Using the Google Placement Tool can help you get your campaign ultra-targeted; showing only on sites you select.
The first place to look is within your Google Analytics account (you dohave that set up, don’t you?). See who is already linking to your site, and where your visitors are coming from That is the first place to begin building your list of sites to run your ads on
You need to have a placement targeted campaign set up in Adwords taht you can plug these in to. You can enter them manually, or put them into a csv file and import the whole lot
This is about a five minute exercise, if you have your campaign set up and are already using Google Analytics. Give it a go!
********************************************
For an even better tip on using Site Placement, you need to check out Adwords Digger. This is a tool that searches Google based on keywords you select, and gives you a list of sites that come up for those keywords. These sites are easily exported and transferred into your Adwords campaign for even more super-targeted site placement fun!
Did I mention that Adwords Digger is totally FREE?
I have recently been really digging into PPC because I know it can work. To be honest, I’ve been a little frustrated with SEO. It seems like it’s getting harder all the time.
PPC has its challenges as well, don’t get me wrong, but I think it’s about the fastest way to get direct, targeted traffic to your site, as long as you know what you’re doing.
So please, please, I beg of you… don’t make these PPC mistakes!
Mistake 1. Home Page = Landing Page. Big mistake, and very common. The fact is, you simply cannot tailor your home page for enough keywords to allow you to get a high quality score for your entire campaign. Simply not possible. You need to have a separate landing page for each keyword, ideally, or at least for each closely-related group of keywords.
Mistake 2. Landing page is too confusing. You’ve probably gone to these. You’re searching for something, and there are a dozen sites that look like they will have information you are looking for. Starting at the top, you work your way down the list. Even the best sites only get 5-10 seconds of your attention, so imagine what a crappy, busy site will get? Only as much time as it takes your visitor to find and click the “Back” button.
You need to include good information about the product, but above all it must be clearly presented. If they can’t find the information they are looking for, and do it quickly, they will be gone.
Mistake 3. Landing page too “heavy.” If your page takes too long to load, because of scripts or graphics or whatever, your potential customer is gone. People aren’t going to wait around to see what you have to say unless they have some super-compelling reason.
Sure, you can have some images, but make them good ones, and be sure they are adding value, not just taking up space. You’re not printing this in a high-gloss magazine, either, so you don’t need a super-high resolution photo. Go with lower res. Your page will load faster and your customer will stick around a little longer.
Mistake 4. Frightening your customer.
People who visit your site do not know, neither do they trust, you. You need to build that trust before you start doing junk like asking them for a lot of personal info. You can usually get away with a first name and an email addy, if you have something free to provide in return, but asking for more than that (like phone number or home address) without a dang good reason is asking for trouble.
Mistake 5. The Hard Sell. Fact: people don’t want to be sold to. It’s as simple as that. No one visits a website so someone can sell them something.
But you’re in it to make money, right? So what do you do?
Well, you need to build the persons trust, show them you understand whatever problem it is they are trying to solve, and that you have the solution to their problem.
That’s it.

PPC search engines have the advantage of being able to target your audience down to the keyword and beyond. If you work it right, you have the ability to get in front of people looking for very specific phrases.
Google Adwords takes it a step further, with “geo-targeting.” That means you are now able to target specific geographic areas with your ads. MSN and Yahoo may have something similar, but this article will focus on Google.
This may or may not be helpful for your business. There are some areas of your country that may be better targets for your product or service than others. Geo targeting makes sure you are only showing your ads to people you specify.
You can also use Google Analytics to make sure your geo-targeted keyword campaigns are converting into sales for you.
Which areas may be better for your business may not be as clear as not selling snow shovels in Miami. You need some data to begin with.
Once you have been running general ads for a while, log into Google Analytics to see where your hits and conversions are coming from. You may be surprised with what you find. Use the “Map Overlay Report” to get that information. Compare geographic visitors to geographic conversions. Some areas may be better browsers and some better buyers. I’ll let you decide which to focus on!
Once you have identified a region that appears to be converting better, you can create a new and separate campaign for that very region. Use city/state/area names in your title and description to increase click-through rates.
You change the region selected by editing campaign settings and going to the “target audience” section. There, you can select by country, state, city, or zip code (in the USA).
Have fun and let me know how that works out for you!

I was checking my blog history here and it has been quite a while since I have updated you on just how Portal Feeder is working out. It’s time to post a new review and let you know just how things have been working out.
First of all, I’m not rich yet. I know this will come as a disappointment to many of you. It certainly does for me. I’m still plugging away at internet marketing, though, because I believe in its potential.
Occasionally, as things have gotten especially desperate within the household economic situation, I have considered canceling my Portalfeeder subscription, but those considerations have never been very serious.
Portalfeeder for me is a “can’t live without” tool. The capabilities of the software itself is one thing, and its really an increasingly minor factor. There is so much contained within the Portal Feeder community that it has become essential for anyone who is at least semi-serious about their internet marketing future.
I have mentioned in the past the other parts: blog feeder, article feeder, the three-way link system, etc. Those remain fantastic tools, all of which have been improved on to be easier to use and more effective at the same time. The blog feeder, for example, has been VASTLY expanded to allow your content to be syndicated to literally tens of thousands more sites. You don’ get that kind of exposure just anywhere.
One aspect of Portal Feeder that I’d like to emphasize this time around, is the training. While there has always been some training, Jason Katzenback has outdone himself with some of his recent work. Just today I was going through his “PPCK” training (PPC Kahuna, another PF tool). This is some of the best PPC training you can get anywhere. And believe me, I know. I am a paid member of PPC Classroom (not for much longer, though), as well as Commission Blueprint and other PPC training courses. Jason lays it out, and shows you how to use the tools that rival anyone else’s tools (yes, even Google Cash Detective). I will post soon (hopefully) on my PPC success.
The community at Portal Feeder remains alive and thriving. Many internet marketing forums die off after a while, as the founders lose interest and move on to something else, and the users get frustrated and go on searching for the “next big thing.” That hasn’t happened at PF. I still learn things nearly every time I visit the forums. Lots of people sharing tips, asking questions, etc.
To go back to what I said earlier, I’m not rich yet. However, that’s not Portal Feeder’s fault. It’s mine. I am convinced that if I put in more time and effort, I would be much more successful. With the outstanding tools and the best-in-class training that Portalfeeder offers, there is really no other excuse. ??????????? ???? ? ??????
Google assigns a quality score (or “QS”) to every PPC landing page, and the QS helps determine how much you will pay for each click. The idea behind that is to penalize webmasters who just throw up a bunch of crap in order to get some traffic.
Better QS not only lowers our bids, but it gives us better positioning within AdWords, and is overall more profitable.
How, then, to improve your quality score?
Google tells us there are three main factors that go into quality score. They won’t tell us much more than that, so here is my take.
1. Relevant and original content. Your website has a main topic, no? Relevance means your content, your domain and your meta tags are all related to that content, and preferably have the keyword phrase in all those places.
Use a unique landing page for each keyword phrase, if you can. If you can’t, try to at least have multiple landing pages for tightly-focused keyword groups.
Original content simply means it is unique content to you. If you use PLR articles, rewrite them significantly so as to make them unique.
2. Transparency. ????? ????? Transparency relates to the openness of your website. Are you trying to hide who you are or what you do or what you are selling? Transparency can be achieved by posting basic information such as an “About Us” page, a terms of use page, a privacy policy and a valid sitemap. Google looks for these pages specifically.
If your visitors are asked to opt in to get something, make sure they understand how their personal information is to be used by you. Don’t force them to opt in to anything. Google likes people to have a choice. Although, I guess if they are “opting” in, that’s by definition voluntary, isn’t it?
Don’t be sneaky about what you are giving them or try to trick them. If you take money, make sure the transaction is secure and that you deliver what you were paid for.
3. Ease of navigation. There should be a clear path for visitors to follow. From where they land, through some content, and to some kind of action. That may be opting in to a list or making a purchase, or clicking a link. Make it clear what you are doing.
Don’t try to confuse visitors with tricks like not letting them go “back” or using a lot of popup or popunder windows.
Once you have fantastic landing pages, it frees you up to focus on testing and tweaking your adwords campaign itself. Be sure your ads are consistent with the message on your landing pages, and you should begin to see costs per click decreasing and conversions increasing.
************************************
The Adwords Digger tool is FREE software, and wil help you get lower CPC and improve conversions. What it does is find specific sites that are running ads based on your keywords. You can very easily copy that list and paste it into your AdWords manager to advertise on those chosen sites. Check it out.
It’s time to show what this baby is capable of (PF 2.0). I have been working on refining the template I am using on this site, so I can easily use it on other sites as well.
Am I worried about footprints? Not really. PF doesn’t add anything that could be considered a footprint, and my templates are pretty simple. If I use the same template for a dozen sites, or 50 or even 100, I don’t think it’s gonna matter all that much. ???????? ? ????
Here is a trampoline site I created entirely with PF2.0:
http://www.trampolinepartsandmore.com
I started with a basic temlate I got at http://www.oswd.org and imported it into PF 2.0. I can show you how I did that another time. It took a while, because it was the first template I really worked with in 2.0. It now consists of 29 pages that are mostly necessary to do some different and cool things. Future sites will not take nearly as long, once the base template is good to go.
For this site, I’m using PLR articles and graphics I got from http://www.plrpro.com. They are a great resource that provides 11 packages a month of high-quality articles. I imported all 40 articles on trampolines into my article pack, so they can be “dripped” to the portal over time. I am also rewriting those articles completely and submitting them to article directories. So far, it’s working great.
I’m also using some other features of PF 2.0 like listing packs, where I take an affiliate datafeed and easily drop that content into my site, rss feeds which are also easily managed in PF 2.0, and I already mentioned the article dripping. I’m using functions of PF to add my site navigation directly below my Adsense link block and make them appear identical. The “Learn More” section is another function of PF that takes keywords from the published articles and lists as many as I specify in the format I specify.
On my “Resources” page, I’m pulling in my links from the Portal Feeder Linking System (see my review here).
One of the best features is “tokens” which allow me to easily change content that appears on multiple pages without editing each page or each page template. On this site, I am using tokens for the site name, the topic of the website, the text of the footer, and a lot more.
I am even using tokens for each of the colors on my site. That will allow me to quickly and easily change the look of my site as I change the topic and use a different header graphic (which, btw, is also a token).
I hope you are getting an idea of just how powerful this Portal Feeder software really is.
Remember the movie “Napoleon Dynamite”? When that kid Pedro was running for school president (or was it class president?), he promised if you vote for him, all your wildest dreams would come true.
Ok, so Portalfeeder isn’t really going to make you popular, or handsome, or taller or shorter or fatter or thinner, per se…
However, if your wildest dreams include creating awesome-looking websites that the search engines and human visitors love the same, you need to check out PF 2.0.
If your wildest dreams include partnering with a very dynamic and knowledgeable group of people who will help you every step of the way from getting your internet business started, to creating sites, publicizing them, and making money off them, Portal Feeder is worth a look.
It’s a great system that every serious internet marketer needs to evaluate. Seriously.
Remeber, “Portal Feeder offers you it’s protection!”
I’ve been a PF member since day 1, and there has been a lot going on since December 7, 2005 when I first joined.
Lately, though, there has been even more going on. It was like the PF team was straightening everything up, cleaning out old forum posts, putting a nice shine on everything. It’s been a lot like Spring Cleaning! (Or Fall Cleaning, for the southern half of the world) ???????? ????? ? ???? ??? ??????? ???? ? ???? ???????
Well, today the doors–which have long been closed–have opened for a few select customers to join. The only ones invited were, as far as I could tell, those who were on any of Jason Potash’s lists, like his Content Composer, Article Announcer, etc.
Today in the forums there have been a bunch of new “Hello from…” posts. To be honest with you, it’s a little strange seeing new people in what has been a closed community for over a year. Still, new blood always brings new opportunity. Everyone has been thoroughly welcomed by PF staff and members alike.
Soon, and I don’t know if I’m able to say exactly when, the doors will open for what will probably be a very limited time, and more people will be allowed to join.
Stay tuned, as I will be posting more info very soon…
